Community Standards, Terms and Conditions

If you’re new here and you’ve just registered, you have to know something… jump right in and start posting! Even if just to say hi, you’ll immediately be welcomed by some of the friendliest and most helpful people on the planet.

This is a family oriented community with the highest of standards that promote kind and respectful interaction while sharing and learning together in a friendly and helpful environment. This community welcomes all persons regardless of experience. Beginners are always welcomed to share in building on their photography skills and making new friends.

* No Nudity Policy

Sharing Digital Photography Worldwide Forums is a family site with members of all ages. We have a strict NO NUDITY POLICY. This includes suggestive forms of glamour photography and links to such images.

* Offensive Photos

In addition our no-nudity policy, any photograph that is deemed to be offensive may be removed at the discretion of the Administrators and Moderators. Any member may report a photograph as offensive and at forum management’s discretion, the photograph will be removed within a reasonable time and the poster notified and cautioned. Continued posting of such photographs will result in the member concerned being banned on a temporary or permanent basis as required. Any overtly obvious and offensive postings will result in being banned.

*Posting Photos In Any Forum (General)

In general, post only one photo in any topic. Exceptions can be made, ask a Moderator or Administrator if you really need to for creative expression. Sometimes an alternate photo may be requested, or the results of an enhanced photo posted later in the topic. Anymore than that should have a link to one’s personal gallery. Max photo size is 800 pixels. Other unique rules or guidelines will be noted as Announcements in each forum. Please review them and be a responsible photo poster.

* Member Community Participation and Forum Commenting

Members are expected to be active in the general community by posting and sharing photos in our friendly forum. That’s the half of it. Anyone likes to get comments on their photos, so when you post a photo you’ll also extend the courtesy of viewing and commenting on others photos. Reciprocate. Your member guideline will be to post 3 to 5 commentaries on other photos for each photo you post. That’s the other half and what we’re all about! Helping others, sharing ideas and comments, and supplying friendly constructive critiques are the standard. Members are always courteous and considerate. Any derogatory comments will be removed by the Moderators and/or Administrators. Name calling, foul language including implied with internet acronyms are not tolerated and offenders will be banned.

Beginners comments and points of view on photos are considered to be of great value. No excuses, join in and have fun!

* Advice and validity of posts

We are not responsible for validity of content. We do not warrant the accuracy of any information posted. Postings express the views of the member and are not necessarily the views of Sharing Digital Photography Worldwide Forums. Members are solely responsible for the content of their posts.


* Reporting Complaints

Any complaints must be addressed to an Administrator and not openly in any forum. Disputes and problems will be handled privately in a fair and discreet manner so as not to disrupt the Sharing Digital Photography Worldwide Forums and to maintain our friendly respectful community standards.

* Monthly Photo Challenges (MPCs) and Other Fun Participative Activities

Key rules and guidelines are posted with each Monthly Challenge back at the your forum community. Entries must "not" have been previously posted. Initially for rating, photos will only have titles in the MPC Gallery. Breaching anonymity in advance of the final ratings tally or posting elsewhere may result in removal of the entry. Copyright notices are not allowed on challenge entries.

* Copyright and Respecting Others Work

Members should usually only upload photos that they have taken themselves and to which they have copyright. However, members may upload other photos, providing they have the legal right to do so, and they must clearly state the true source and ownership in the photo information. All photographs and images remain the copyright and property of the owner. Copyright notices on photos are discouraged and unnecessary.

* Permission To Modify Another Member’s Photo(s)

Any modification of photos posted by members may only be carried out with the express permission or by invitation of the member. If permission is granted, you will note the granted permission in your posting of the modified photo(s). It’s that kind of courtesy and respect that makes our community special.

* Help and Assistance

If you need help or advice on how to use our friendly web site, contact one of the friendly Admin and Mod Squad team members. If you click on any of their names in the Forum, you can go to their profile and send them a Private Message.
